For anyone else that's been lacking motivation lately

It's the last few weeks of my sophomore year and it is taking it's toll on me. I have had papers and tests galore lately. With all of the school work I've had I have been finding it hard to commit myself to the gym. My motivation hasn't been so low in a long time. I keep making excuses for myself to why I should have the day off. Today I realized that it needs to stop. 

My body deserves better than that. It is not a once a week commitment I made. I made a commitment to push myself and make myself stronger. 

This is something I used to say to myself all the time, but when I saw it on pinterest today it was like a reality check.

So remember lovies...  

Today is just a great day...

I have been in the best mood ever today. I started my morning off with a free class at my gym all thanks to my schools VS Pink Reps. They hosted an event at my gym, which meant free class and free goodies. I got an amazing workout, followed by over 130 dollars worth of free swag from VS Pink, including a padded bandeau, sweatshirt, and underwear. AND on top of that I get 25% off my next purchase of classes at my gym, which is amazing. 

So that was my morning. And then to make my day even more amazing it's been beautiful out in Connecticut, so I got to throw on a maxi skirt and tank and go hang out on the quad with my sisters and friends. 

Hopefully my good streak keeps going today!

Happy Day!

So today was a really exciting day for me and my sorority!

The past week has been Greek Week for my school and greek community. This is when all fraternities and sororities compete against each other in different events. We have penny wars, canned food drive, a community service day, Greek God and Goddess, and Lip Sync. All of these combined determine overall winners. 

Today was Lip Sync, which is an event where we prerecord the songs and dialogue and then do dances to everything. Our theme this year was Disney, and my sorority did a spin on the Hunger Games with different disney characters competing. I've been at practices until at least 1-2am every night for the past week and a half...but it was worth it because we came in second place for that event AND we were the overall winners of Greek Week!!

Coming in second were are partners for Lip Sync, a new fraternity on campus, Beta Theta Pi. I couldn't be more happy for them either because this is their first time competing and they came in overall second, and their nominee for Greek God won! So proud of them!

I'll definitely be going to sleep with a smile on my face...however it may fade a little in the morning when I'm up at 7:30 for Big Event (our day of service throughout our community).
